Texture & Response
Texture & Response prompts us to consider our fascination with visual texture. Featuring New England artists Karen Cygnarowicz, Gracia Nash, and Ann Wessmann, the exhibit asserts that in place of touch, our visual perception of surface is just as compelling as its physical sensation. Working in materials traditionally associated with craft including glass, wood, and fiber, these artists are unified by a shared, meditative practice and investigation of process as they explore the allure of texture.
