Introduction To Impressionism

A brief overview of the history of Impressionism will be given, as well as how to approach painting in this style. A range of acrylic painting techniques, discussion of atmospheric perspective, and a focus on use of light will guide us as we paint an original landscape inspired by the Impressionist style.

Instructor Bio
Kristen has been a teaching artist for over a decade. She worked as a high school art educator for ten years, being recognized twice as Teacher of the Year and UVM Outstanding Teacher for her school district. She holds a M.A. in Arts Administration, and a B.A. in Art with a concentration in painting. She has exhibited work throughout the state of Vermont, and especially enjoys getting involved with community art projects and murals.
