Outdoor Family Weekend is seeking dynamic and passionate instructors for workshops! We are hoping to bring some art outdoors through hands-on workshops.
Outdoor Family Weekend is a joint effort by the University of Vermont Extension and the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources’ Departments of Fish & Wildlife, and Forests, Parks & Recreation to promote, address and instill in the general public a basic understanding of environmental conservation, safety, and fun in the outdoors. The event targets families new to experiencing the outdoors and families that wish to further their knowledge of spending time outside together. This event is celebrating its 22nd year! Each year we invite expert instructors to teach basic and advanced courses providing hands-on experience and encouragement. The event will be held on September 6-8, 2019 at Stillwater State Park in Groton State Forest.
More details on joining us as an instructor: Instructors typically teach 2-hour workshops, in subjects of their choice, offering the basics & providing hands-on experience in exchange for complimentary partial- or full-family registration to the event. If you or someone in your organization would like to be a part of this special weekend as an instructor and nurture the next generation of youth’s enjoyment of the outdoors, please reach out to me as I would be happy to discuss and answer any questions that you might have. If you have a clear idea and are ready to jump in, you can complete this survey that will help to outline the workshops that you are interested in facilitating: https://goo.gl/forms/F1S8ziRb8otJ1Gnu2.
