10th Annual Big Buzz Chainsaw Carving Festival

The Big Buzz Chainsaw Carving Festival is in its 10th year of production and proud to bring over 25 carvers from across the country and around the world to Ludlow, Vermont. Every year on Columbus Day Weekend the days are filled with sawdust flying, chains purring and sculptures coming to life. Walk around with the family, or get inspired to complete some sculptures of your own. Food trucks are abundant and special events such as the Quick Carves, Auctions and the Saturday evening Fire Sculptures are not to be missed! High energy event and fun for the whole family. Stowe Mountain Film Festival

Stowe Mountain Film Festival

Join us for inspiring documentary short films in the broad categories of adventure, sports, environment and culture, which reflect the interests of the Stowe community spirit, and celebrates local adventure and adventurers! Stowe Mountain Film Festival is presented in partnership with the Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum.

Saturday, each screening will show a different line-up of inspiring documentary short films curated from the Mountainfilm festival in Telluride, Colorado. Screenings are at 3pm and 7pm, at each screening a Mountainfilm presenter will guide the audience through the program providing insight on the films, filmmakers, and subjects.

Selection of the best short films from the annual Telluride Mountainfilm Festival is underway and will be made available soon for us to select for our screenings.

Over sixty vendors, including new Vermonters as well as artisans coming from all parts of the globe, will sell reasonably-priced, unique, imported handcrafts including clothing, pottery, home décor, holiday decorations, instruments, carvings and jewelry. Another festival highlight is the delicious and affordable ethnic food available in the Food Court, including Congolese, Nepali, Italian, Chinese, Filipino, Argentinian, Austrian, Nicaraguan, Dominican, and Indian. And as you shop, eat or learn there will be non-stop multi-cultural music and dance on two stages.
