Learn To Draw Class
.jpg)
What better winter indoor activity than drawing! Despite what you think, anyone can learn to draw. This class will teach how, if you don’t know already, or help improve your drawing if you do.
Using fundamental methods, we’ll learn how to get our subjects on paper in correct proportion, scale and with correct spatial relationships. Gradually we’ll add shading techniques to show light, shade, shadow and form. In the process, you’ll learn the most important skill of all – the ability to really see your subject.
Join us to help pass the winter and learn a new skill!

Learn To Draw – Improve Your Drawing
Saturdays, January 5 – February 23, 2019 9am to noon
Taraden Media Barn, 183 Park Street, N. Bennington, Vermont
This class will teach you to draw, if you don’t know how or help improve your drawing if you do. We’ll focus on fundamental techniques and methods, helping you develop solid skills that will work for any subject, any medium.
This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn to draw or to improve their drawing. Suitable for all levels of skill.
What you’ll learn in this workshop:
We’ll spend the first 4 weeks working with pencil on paper.
In the second half of the class, we’ll introduce other black & white media – charcoal, pen, white “charcoal” and toned papers. And we’ll introduce more complex and complicated subjects.
At the end of eight weeks, you will have learned fundamental methods and techniques – along with the ability to observe – that will help you draw any subject
