The famed pairing of two boyhood pals and Jefferson Airplane compatriots, Hot Tuna has been performing a heady mix of classic blues and American roots music for nearly 50 years. Guitar great Jorma Kaukonen and bassist supreme Jack Cassidy have never wavered in one of the most enduring friendships and creative partnerships in popular music history. Acoustic Guitar hails Jorma as “a force in American music, equally adept at acoustic folk and blue,” while Premier Guitar writes that “Jack Cassidy is virtually unparalleled . . . he bursts forth with creative lines, both simple and ornate, that are unlike any you’ve ever heard.” Expect an evening of acoustic wizardry from this extraordinary pair.
