The Windham County History Fair is held on the picturesque Common in historic Newfane Village in front of the County Courthouse. The County Fair features vintage exhibits of Vermont’s rich heritage by the County’s Historical Societies, along with special exhibits by the Vermont Historical Society, the Vermont Historical Records Program, the Vermont Old Cemeteries Association among many others. Presentations and demonstrations take place throughout the day as well as tours of the County Courthouse, the restored County Jail, the Newfane Railroad Station (West River Railroad Museum) and the old Newfane Cemetery on Cemetery Hill.

Booth space of approximately 12’ x 12’ is allocated to a variety of exhibitors and vendors. (A booth fee of $25 only applies ‘for profits’ who are selling items.) Exhibitors are expected to bring their own tables, tents and chairs. Admission to the County History Fair is free to the public. Please contact the Historical Society at [email protected] to reserve your boothspace or if you have any questions. And be sure to check the Historical Society’s website for updates on the day’s schedule of events: www.historicalsocietyofwindhamcounty.org.
