Vulture Sister Song

July 9 at 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

Led by Upper Valley dance artist, Ellen Smith Ahern, Vulture Sister Song is a family-friendly, interdisciplinary performance. The show blends live storytelling, folk songs and electric lullabies, a migrating herd of lanterns, wild movement and a healthy dose of humor to connect artists and community members and celebrate the possibilities of vibrant interdependence.

Touring nationally, Vulture Sister Song has 400+ folks imagining, questioning and singing along. Feedback from audiences 8 to 80 years old is joyful and curious:

“An amazing convergence of presence and sensory web making.”

“It was weird but a good kind of weird.”

“Beautiful and thought-provoking. Dream-expanding.”

“I think about vultures so differently since seeing this performance!”

Catch our next performance at Montpelier’s Capital City Grange:

5pm Potluck + live folk music from teen band, The Purple House Trio + lantern scultpures from local artist Talitha Landis-Marinello
+
6pm Performance (~35 min., recommended 5 yrs.+)
