Things that Go Bump in the Night: Horror Writing Workshop for Teens

October 4 at 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Event Series Event Series (See All)
$105

Love horror?

Interested in writing it?

Come to this four week workshop with Vermont author Ann Dávila Cardinal and talk about all things creepy. We’ll discuss what scares us, the world of horror literature and films, and how to write a story that grabs readers and doesn’t let them go. Bring a laptop, paper and ink (or the blood of your enemies), and be ready to write!

Ann Dávila Cardinal is a fiction writer with an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her young adult horror novels include Five Midnights (winner of a 2020 International Latino Book Award and a finalist for a Bram Stoker), Category Five, and this year’s Breakup from Hell, a horror rom-com based in Stowe, Vermont. The Storyteller’s Death, released in October 2022, was her first novel for adults, and her second, We Need No Wings, is scheduled for release in October of 2024. Ann lives in Morrisville with her husband Doug in a house with a creepy basement.
