The Past is Fighting Itself Again / Las Cuentas De Mi Abuela – Opening Reception

Please join us for the Opening Reception of a two person exhibit featuring new work from Maria Flores Galindo & Peter Wallis.

Galindo trained in fashion design and collage in Madrid before moving to New York 8 years ago where she has lived and worked since. “My work tries to be simple and delicate. I start by mixing different elements on a background and keep working until I feel the work is complete as a whole,” Flores Galindo says of her work.

Wallis is an interdisciplinary artist and native son of the Green Mountains of Vermont. He has worked with students throughout the country teaching visual arts at independent schools and nonprofit arts organizations. Integrating his interests in illustration and printmaking, his approach to teaching trends in new media is grounded in an appreciation of traditional art techniques and practices.
