Small Loom Weaving with Beth Meachem

April 29 at 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

A loom with a half-finished project on it,

Join accomplished fiber artist Beth Meachem to learn how to wrap a warp on a frame loom, create a sampler of different weaving techniques and get an overview of projects that can be done on a simple small lap loom. Everyone will leave with a loom in hand that can be used for future fiber projects! This is the perfect class for beginners or those who want to reacquaint themselves with different weaving patterns.

Tuition: $50 ($12.50 per hr)
Materials Fee: $25 for fiber art and personal loom

Artist Bio: Beth Meachem (she/her) is a graduate of Marlboro College and Wesleyan University. I have been practicing and teaching weaving and ceramics for over 30 years. I started and ran a rural arts initiative in Jamaica, Vermont where I taught weaving and ceramics to all ages and ran community outreach programs for seniors. I love exploring new mediums such as mono-printing and two-dimensional works. I am inspired by the natural landscape and my works evolve organically inspired by the materials I work with.
