Read Like A Writer

Every 2nd and 4th Monday each month at 6:30-8, we meet on Zoom to read fiction selected from major literary magazines like The New Yorker, Paris Review, Granta, Lit Hub, Kenyon Review etc. The goal is to analyze the stories for craft – dialogue, openings, structure, theme, ideas, sentences, cadence, character development etc. it’s our way of understanding today’s cultural conversation, to learn craft and explore new idea in our own work. Each session ends with a prompt. Prompts are shared on google drive, where there’s a section for participants to post works in process, asking for feedback. All workshops are free, sign up is very simple. Just email and come.
