Join Bob Green, for this exciting pottery workshop to explore wheel-throwing and alternative firing techniques. The first part of the workshop will focus on the art of creating bulbous or enclosed forms on the wheel. Expand upon your throwing skills and repertoire of forms while learning methods for applying coils to thrown pieces. Give your pieces more volume, create a neck, or enclose a form. Next, experiment with applying terra sigillata and burnishing while participating in Raku firings. Learn about age-old firing methods and discover the beauty and magic of this process. Students will need to bring their own greenware & bisque fired pieces for terra sigillata & firings.
