Quill and Foyle’s Hasty Composure

A No Strings Marionette Company and Paul Perley Collaboration

This new and original all ages show, sponsored by a creation grant from The Vermont Arts Council, pairs No Strings Marionette Company with composer and conductor Paul Perley. Marionettes, scenery, and musical compositions uniquely created to tell the tale of twins Quill and Foyle as they set out to find their life’s purpose. Motives blur as they contemplate conferring on living ecosystems the rights humans claim for themselves.

Conductor and composer Paul Perley’s will lead musicians Melissa Perley -cello, Michiko Oishi -piano, Eben Bodach-Turner -bass, and Keith Gibson -percussion – cajon, brushed cymbals.
After the show the audience is invited to an in depth session involving by a demonstration, answer questions, meet the composer, puppeteers, musicians and puppets. All ages welcome.
