Pouring Vessels: Wheel Throwing & Hand Building

May 30 at 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

This course will focus on a variety of methods to create pouring vessels, using both handbuilding and wheel-throwing techniques. Instruction will cover both skill sets, allowing students to work in whatever way suits them. Creamers, ewers, pitchers, coffee pots, and teapots will be explored. This will be a chance to dive into the variety of considerations that come with pots that pour, including balance, ergonomics, specialized function, and how these pieces fit into the small (or grand!) rituals of our daily lives.
