Kindred

Kindred is a show that pairs two artists with distinctive styles and techniques. While the artist’s mediums and subject matter differ, as do their influences, the more one looks, the more one sees the work in conversation. Colors, surfaces, and underlying structures emerge as common themes, or touchstones of connection. It is not then surprising to learn that Peter and Nathaniel are father and son, and that their shared history is an ongoing dialogue, on and off the page. Exhibiting together for the first time at ‘new new art studio,’ we can appreciate each artist’s unique vision while celebrating the tradition of artmaking being passed down from one generation to the next.
