Introduction to Hand Bookbinding: Simple Enclosures

In this class you will learn how to make a slipcase for any book that you want to protect or enhance with an additional decorative or expressive housing.
We will also create a box made of laminated and folded heavyweight paper and offers several opportunities for playful uses of color and pattern.
These structures are simple to make and have fewer parts than a more complex clamshell box or tray case (which could be offered as a workshop in the future).
All materials will be provided. Please bring two small or modest-sized books that you would like to make a slipcase and box for.
NO experience necessary.
