Gelli Plate Printmaking

A fun and versatile method of printing using a “plate” made from gelatin known as a ‘Gelli plate.’ It can be used with both printmaking inks and acrylic paints; you will work with both mediums in this workshop. Gelli plate printmaking has a spontaneous quality that lends itself to magazine transfers, printing on found paper and printmaking paper. Your creativity and dexterity will be stretched in new and exciting ways. In addition, you will learn about color and the registration process.

You will have plenty of time for one-on-one instruction to hone your techniques and get answers to all your questions. This interactive workshop will introduce you to other like-minded folks to spur your creativity. Expect to leave with prints that are ready to be framed, cards to mail and unique papers perfect for collaging so you will be able to skillfully make more prints at home!
