Gelli Plate & Collage Bookmaking Workshop

Are you interested in learning new bookmaking and printmaking techniques? Join our workshop and create your unique artist’s book! Through a three-part creative process, we will guide you to generate text and images. You’ll learn how to use the Gelli plate and make transfer prints with old books and magazines. In the second phase, you’ll collage the prints. Creating a cover and binding the book is the final stage. The finished product will be a hardcover book that combines your edited and refined creations, with approximately 3.5 x 5″ size and 8 spreads (30 sides) handbound with a long stitch variation. Don’t worry about supplies because we provide everything you need. No prior experience is necessary, making it a great opportunity for those trying to break out of a creative block or searching for creative ways to generate images and text.
