Aysha Peltz is a Vermont-based studio potter and educator. She received both her BFA (Cum Laude) and MFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. She is an active educator and has held a faculty appointment at Bennington College since 2006. In addition, she has taught classes and workshops at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Alfred University, Peter’s Valley School of Craft, The Walter Gropius Master Workshop Series, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Harvard University, and the Kansas City Art Institute. She has also lectured at the Shelburne Craft School in Vermont, The Huntingdon Museum of Art in West Virginia, and at the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute in Jingdezhen, China.

Michael McCarthy is a studio potter focusing on wheel thrown, woodfired functional pottery. In addition to his studio practice, Michael is the ceramics instructor at the Austen Riggs Center, a residential psychiatric hospital and treatment center located in Stockbridge, MA. Michael moved to western Massachusetts in 2000 for a three year apprenticeship with potter Mark Shapiro. He then completed artist residencies at Anderson Ranch in Colorado and Altos de Chavon in the Dominican Republic before returning to western Massachusetts to establish his own studio and build his wood burning kiln.
