Bella Voce “Singing and Living in Harmony” Spring Concert

May 19 at 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Voted Vermont’s Best Choral Ensemble for each of the past 4 years by readers of SevenDays, Bella Voce consists of 30-35 auditioned singers drawn from five northwestern Vermont counties  and includes music educators, directors of church ensembles, music education majors, and women of all ages who simply enjoy singing. Our 2024 spring concert “Singing and Living in Harmony” speaks to the important role that music plays in our own personal life and in our connections with others. This inspirational concert features wonderfully evocative music by Hildegard von Bingen, Johann Sebastian Bach, Ola Gjeilo, Rosephanye Powell, Gwyneth Walker, Elaine Hagenberg and others set to inspirational poetry by the likes of Langston Hughes, Emily Bronte and Leonora Speyer, punctuated by an uplifting gospel tune and other choral favorites.

The chorus will be joined by special guest artists, the Hildegard String Quartet and, in keeping with the theme of this concert, Bella Voce has invited the choir students at Stowe Middle High School to sing with us. More details about the program can be found on our website at
