Alexander Technique is experiential learning and skills embodying; it is about yourself and your instrument, which could be only body and voice. It is an exercise in awareness and mindfulness. The One to One work allows the teacher to better address your specific needs ( knee, hip, ankle, wrist, low back, neck strain and pain, for example). Individual sessions are scheduled with more flexibility that group lessons. Bring your Self, bring your musical instrument if that’s the case. Our calendar proposes multiple times and days for you. If you don’t find your best time, contact Georgette.
MAY 9 to 25. Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The ACTOR’s LAB. Exploration of the Actor’s craft and art at the PRE-character stage. Looking for Presence and Creativity through the lenses of Alexander Technique. Acting is a craft and an art. The craft of acting can be shared. The art of acting can be encouraged and nurtured. Working at the level of PRE-character is thrilling and empowering! It is designed for performers but is open to any one curious about the craft and art of the actor. The way it is designed necessitates at least 4 participants. Participants are willing to explore the unknown with curiosity, creativity and the seriousness of the Lecoq clown. In the Pre-character LAB we explore, as the term indicates, ways to prepare ourselves, body and mind, before entertaining any idea of a character. GET ready and LET IT happen to you!
