Creative Sector Response and Recovery Forum

Nearly 500 participants registered for the Creator Sector Recovery and Response Forum held on May 11, 2020. The Forum was an opportunity for state leaders and policymakers to share updates and hear from the creative sector and learn more about how arts and culture are essential to Vermont's recovery. Speakers included:

  • (Co-Hosts) Vermont Arts Council Executive Director Karen Mittelman and Deputy Director Amy Cunningham

  • (Policymakers) Senate Majority Leader Becca Balint State Representative Sara Coffey and State Representative Stephanie Jerome

  • (Economic and Community Development) Ted Brady, Deputy Secretary, Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development and Paul Costello, Executive Director, Vermont Council on Rural Development

  • (Artists & Cultural Organizations) Amber Arnold, Media, Communications and Outreach Adviser, Clemmons Family Farm; Maria Basescu, Managing Director, Yellow Barn; rock musician/installation artist Roger Miller and Jody Fried, Executive Director, Catamount Arts
