Saint Gaudens National Historic Park Call to Artists

The National Park Service and Eastern National are seeking art designs to be used on apparel, promotional material, and other products for Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park.

This design competition continues the artistic tradition of sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens and members of the Cornish colony of artists. Designers should take inspiration from the art, landscape, or history of Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park. Possible images to draw upon include artwork on display throughout the grounds, views of Mount Ascutney from the park, and local wildlife and fauna. Designers who have never visited the park in-person can reference photo galleries or review content on the park’s Facebook and Instagram accounts (@SaintGaudensNPS).

If selected by the review committee, one artist will receive $500 for full usage rights of their design from park partner Eastern National. Submissions should include up to five previous examples of design work and a sketch or sketches showing the desired direction for this project. Please send formal submissions to [email protected] by May 21, 2023.

Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park is a unit of the National Park Service and preserves the New Hampshire home of sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens. The park’s store is operated by Eastern National, a nonprofit education partner of the National Park Service, as the America’s National Parks™ store.
