Printmaking Workshops at the T.W. Wood Gallery

Have you ever wanted to experiment with printmaking? The T.W. Wood Gallery in Downtown Montpelier is offering printmaking classes! Join our workshops and create your own unique prints. All experience levels are welcome. Whether you’re an experienced printmaker or new to the craft, these workshops will spark your creativity. 

The workshops will be held at the T.W. Wood Gallery, located at 46 Barre St. Montpelier, VT. Workshops are taught by Professor Phillip Robertson, who teaches art at the Community College of Vermont and Vermont State University-Johnson Campus. Tuition for the workshops is $100 each; materials are included. Scholarships and payment plans are available. Workshops are available for those aged 16+

Workshop Details: 

  • Plexiglass Dry Point Printmaking – May 4th, 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm: Learn the dry point engraving process and how to use the Whalen Pro printmaking press.
  • Monotype Printmaking – July 13th, 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm: Explore the manipulation of ink on a Plexiglas plate to create one-of-a-kind prints. Experiment with black and white and two-plate color prints.
  • Greeting Card Workshop – November 9th, 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm: Carve a small piece of unmounted linoleum as a relief print for holiday cards. Everyone will print at least 10 of their original images onto sized cardstock.
