Call for Art – landscapes: peculiar interpretations
landscapes: peculiar interpretations is our final call for art of 2023!
MidwestNice Art seeks artworks for our juried exhibition hosted on our virtual exhibition space. The theme, landscapes: peculiar interpretations, focuses on the way we translate the world around us. We invite artists to consider the ways we view and create spaces. It can refer to the natural countryside and urban spaces, a physical medium in your artwork, the imagined mental landscape, cultural perspectives, or socially aware concerns. This exhibition will examine the artistic explorations of these ideas.
We accept any variety of mediums in art, including but not limited to photography, sculpture, painting, collage, digital design, video art, installation, ceramics, performance art…anything you can think of, include it! You may submit up to 3 artworks for a $5 fee, due November 20, 2023. Artists will receive notification a week after the deadline. The exhibition will go live December 1, 2023.
This exhibition will be juried by Wendy Romero (she/her), artist and educator.
