Bryan Memorial Gallery and the Bennington Museum have teamed up to offer this special opportunity to paint Vermont's State Parks.
Working with Vermont Parks Forever - the Foundation for Vermont State Parks, we invite you to spend the next year visiting your favorite Vermont State Parks to create works of art for a joint collaboration to be shown in the summer of 2022.
Bryan Memorial Gallery (Jeffersonville, Vermont) and Bennington Museum (Bennington, Vermont) are excited to announce the upcoming collaborative Parks and Recreation exhibition. Exhibition of works will be held at both locations during the summer 2022 season, this exhibit will highlight historical and contemporary interpretations of Vermont’s 55 State Parks and explore the diverse beauty of these protected wildscapes in all seasons. Artists are invited to visit their choice of Vermont Park(s) in which to draw their creative inspiration to create their artwork.
Access to Vermont’s State Parks has been generously made available through a partnership with Vermont Parks Forever, the Foundation for Vermont State Parks, whose donated vouchers can be used to visit a Vermont park of choice during peak season. Vouchers are limited, offered on a first come first served basis, and are not required off-season. Vouchers will be distributed at the end of May/early June.
To claim a voucher, contact info@bryangallery.org or 802-644-5100 with your information, and a gallery representative will respond to your request. Vouchers are good for any Vermont State Park.
All artists working in original 2-dimensional artwork will be invited to submit up to three pieces, either from the same park or multiple parks, to the exhibition jury in spring 2022.
Complete exhibition specifications will be posted in June 2021.
Bryan Gallery and Bennington Museum will reserve the right to select the location where artworks will be shown during the duration of the show.
