Technical Assistance Grants support Vermont registered 501(c)(3) arts organizations by enabling them to take advantage of unique opportunities to enhance their organizational development, professional skills; or expand marketing capacity. Any Vermont registered 501(c)(3) arts organization may apply; schools and institutions of higher learning are not eligible. Technical Assistance funding may be awarded in addition to other Council grants.
Eligible activities are those that help a Vermont arts organization strengthen its capacity to serve its constituents. The following list, while not inclusive, illustrates a range of activities for which arts organizations may request support:
professional development opportunities for staff and/or board (workshops, conferences, etc.)
training programs for staff that are not a part of a matriculated degree program for which college credit is given
hiring consultants to assist activities such as staff training, board development, strategic planning, development of fundraising and marketing strategies, technology improvements and skills training, accessibility training
Grant amounts range from $250 to $1500 and require a 1:1 match of non-federal funds.
Grant amounts are dependent upon federal and state funding and subject to change.
