Join us for a good cause - and good music - to aid in the relief efforts in Puerto Rico. Ticket proceeds will help the Green Mountain Disaster Relief Team (GMDRT) purchase water pumps for Nuestra Escuela students and their community in hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico. Dylan Keith will also perform.

The Sixth Floor Trio regards all of the world’s musical traditions as part of the same continuum, and they explore it all — from bluegrass to klezmer, classical to jazz, ancient music to contemporary rock. This wildly inventive, supremely talented chamber group includes founding members Teddy Abrams (clarinet, piano), Harrison Hollingsworth (bassoon, violin), and Johnny Tessier (clarinet). Their stellar musical chops and infectious enthusiasm have made them sure-fire hits with diverse audiences the world over.

Description:

The Yale Russian Chorus is a tenor-bass a cappella choral ensemble specializing in sacred and secular Slavic choral music. Founded in 1953, the YRC is recognized as one of the world's premier performance ensembles of Slavic music today. The repertoire spans the twelfth century to the twenty-first, and stretches across Eastern Europe from Slovakia to Georgia. Songs include ancient chant, folk songs, and works by Tchaikovsky, Bortnyansky, Kedrov, and Chesnokov, to name a few. Performances in the past have been held at the White House, the Smithsonian, and the Russian Cultural Center in Washington, D.C.; Carnegie Hall, the Winter Garden, and St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan; and Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral in Boston. The Yale Russian Chorus has also gone on tour in Canada, Ukraine, Russia, and throughout the United States, has recorded two high profile CDs, has cultivated major events such as the Slavic Choral Festival at Yale, and has attracted the attention of the professional arts media
