Are your programs and activities presented in a setting that allows people with and without disabilities equal access? Section 504 and ADA regulations require cultural organizations receiving federal funds to conduct a self-evaluation in order to identify barriers that may restrict access to individuals with various disabilities. This can be a useful tool for developing your organization's access plans and for determining how access improvements can be implemented. The workshop will include tips for completing a successful self-evaluation and examples for developing your own document.
Presenters include: Renee Wells, Accessibility Consultant for Cultural Institutions and Michele Bailey, Program Director/ADA Coordinator for the Vermont Arts Council
Approximate Running Time: 2 hours
