Organizers at the Vermont non-profit organization, Dimensions of Marble (DOM), have launched The Vermont Marble Trail - a driving tour along the geological marble corridor running the length of western Vermont. DOM was founded in 2005 by a small group of Vermont citizens who believe that the story of marble, its history, its artistry and the people who worked in the marble industry should be documented and shared with all Vermonters as well as national and international audiences.
The online trail below highlights specific locations along the marble corridor in Vermont - complete with driving directions and nearby attractions - and contains pictures and descriptive text of each location.
Click on the trail marker location names in the right hand column below to navigate through the trail and see items in detail.
