Crediting the Vermont Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts

Grantees are required to credit the Vermont Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) in all of their promotion and publicity materials. 

The Basics

Whenever possible, we ask that the Arts Council and the NEA receive the same level of recognition as corporate sponsors supporting your project or organization at a similar funding level.

For Web promotion:  right click the images below to save them to your desktop for use on your website. The logos are embedded with links to their respective websites:  www.vermontartscouncil.org and www.nea.gov.

For print materials: include a phrase acknowledging support from the Vermont Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, using logos whenever possible.

For radio or television announcements the following language is required:
"This project is supported in part by the Vermont Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art."

For television broadcast: Display of the Vermont Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts Endowment logos is required.
 

Other Ways to Acknowledge Grant Support

• Letters to legislators telling them you received grant funding and thanking them for supporting the Vermont Arts Council’s appropriation.  Let them know how important these public funds are to your community.
   
• Letters to congressmen letting them know you received grant funding and thanking them for supporting the National Endowment for the Arts’ appropriation.
   
• Stage announcements acknowledging funding from the Vermont Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
   
• Invite and acknowledge Arts Council staff and Trustees that attend events.
   
• Invite and acknowledge Arts Caucus members and other Legislators in attendance.
