STOMPIN WITH THE STARS

On Saturday, November 1, 2008 the Vermont Arts Council will host the second “Stompin’ With the Stars!” The Adirondack Ballroom at Burlington’s Hilton Hotel will sparkle with the Green Mountain State’s version of television’s most popular dance competition.

Eight Vermont celebrities will team up with some the state’s best dancers in a glitz and glamour competition to benefit the programs and services of the Vermont Arts Council. The event begins with cocktails at 7:30pm, with the competition beginning at 8pm, followed by live music with the band Shakedown (see below).

	$50 per person for a night of fun and entertainment.
	$500 to reserve a table of 10.
	The judges will have a say in who the winners are, but so will the fans. You can purchase “votes” for your favorite dancers whether or not you attend. Support for your favorite celebrity’s hard work (and the work of the Vermont Arts Council) by purchasing votes for $10 each.

 Shakedown

Following the competition everyone is invited to dance to the music of Shakedown (pictured at right). Their repertoire includes a diverse selection of music, ranging from jazz standards, oldies, to modern Top 40 tunes, and everything in between!
