In this video, painter David Brewster of Halifax, VT explains his approach to creating a series of paintings for the St. Albans Department of Public Safety Facility in 2007. With the help of Lt. Robert Evans and Trooper John Kelly, David was given a 'front row seat' to further familiarize himself with day-to-day operations of the troop. This opportunity to observe the relationship between DPS staff and the community helped inform David's choice of subject matter. .
